Client: Southend-on-Sea Borough Council
Logo design showing methodical experimentation and concept creation. Brief was to create an identity that illustrates how the museums across the borough plan to merge together, building a contemporary central hub to display Southend's rich and diverse history.
A couple of concept ideas were based upon wordplay and building blocks. Another concept taken through to fruition illustrates key elements of Southend's history - The Saxon King, the seaside and the church/medieval priory (Southend itself literally being the 'south end' of Prittlewell).
