Southend New Local Plan Consultation
Client: Southend-on-Sea Borough Council
Local Plans are the key documents through which local planning authorities can set out a vision and framework for the future development of the area, engaging with their communities in doing so.

Falling under the Southend 2050 umbrella, I developed a few layout templates that could be used throughout the document, using a similar design aesthetic to the Southend 2050 Road Map document to manage the very large amount of content supplied for this document.

We also needed to illustrate the Council's Strengths and challenges with a set of simple 'infographics'. The planning department liked my work on the Council's Annual Report and requested a similar style of infographic.

A condensed non-technical summary version of the document was also produced as well as an image for the borough's digital bus stop screens to advertise the public consultation and public drop-in sessions.

The complete 84 page document can be viewed in its entirety at the end of this page.
